Todas las palabras en español deben contener al menos una vocal.

La letra Y se considera siempre una vocal del grupo A, E, I, O, U.

Las vocales del español son cinco: A, E, I, O y U.

En español no existen diptongos en ninguna palabra.

La vocal U nunca puede llevar tilde.

La letra Y, en ciertas palabras, funciona como vocal aunque no es una de las cinco vocales.

Las palabras españolas no pueden contener dos vocales seguidas.

Las vocales solo se usan para formar sílabas y nunca aparecen como letras independientes.

Las vocales pueden formar diptongos cuando una vocal débil (i, u) se une a una vocal fuerte (a, e, o) en una misma sílaba.

Cada vocal puede llevar tilde para indicar la sílaba tónica: á, é, í, ó, ú.
