Multiplicar ambos lados de la ecuación por un número distinto de cero no cambia la solución.

Si a ≠ 0, x = b/a siempre da un número entero.

Para resolver, siempre se debe restar b del lado izquierdo.

Si a ≠ 0, la solución es x = b/a.

Una ecuación de primer grado con una incógnita tiene la forma ax = b, con a ≠ 0.

Se puede dividir por la incógnita x para resolver la ecuación.

Si a = 0 y b ≠ 0, la ecuación no tiene solución.

La incógnita aparece en una potencia mayor a 1 en una ecuación de primer grado.
