Antes de trabajar en un equipo eléctrico, se debe desconectar la fuente de energía y aislarla.

Los enchufes mojados pueden manipularse si la toma está apagada.

Se debe usar equipo de protección personal adecuado (guantes, gafas, calzado dieléctrico) según el riesgo.

Si hay olor a quemado, se debe continuar la tarea para terminar rápidamente.

Se debe realizar bloqueo y etiquetado (Lockout/Tagout) para evitar energización accidental.

Los equipos deben contar con protección contra arco eléctrico y con dispositivos de protección contra sobrecorriente.

Se puede manipular cables pelados sin protección si la tarea es de poca tensión.

Es seguro trabajar con electricidad si se está usando calzado seco y se escucha música.

Se debe usar herramientas con mango aislante para evitar descargas.
