Se debe respetar el dominio: no se puede cancelar si podría hacer que el denominador sea cero.

Si el numerador y el denominador comparten un factor algebraico, se puede cancelar para simplificar.

La simplificación cambia el valor de la fracción para algunos valores de las variables.

No es necesario factorizar para encontrar factores comunes.

En (x^2-9)/(x-3) se factoriza a ((x-3)(x+3))/(x-3) y se simplifica a x+3, con x≠3.

Para cancelar, basta con dividir numerador y denominador por cualquier número entero.

Cualquier fracción algebraica se puede simplificar hasta que queden solo números.

Para simplificar, se factorizan las partes y se cancelan factores idénticos.

La simplificación conserva el valor de la fracción para todos los valores del dominio.
