In this activity , you will practice greater than and less than by choosing three numbers between 1 and 400 that could fit each blank . Read each line carefully and think about how the numbers balance the inequality . For each blank , select numbers that make the statement true . This helps you see how to balance simple algebraic ideas using ranges and comparisons . Try to justify why your choices satisfy the inequality in each case .

Now consider the next line : . You may choose any three numbers from 1 to 400 that could fill the space so that the inequality holds . Remember to check each candidate . This exercise connects to balancing equations and comparing quantities .
