Rhetorische Tropen sind sprachliche Mittel , die Sinn und Wirkung einer Aussage steigern . Die verknüpfen Bildwelten , sodass Ideen lebendig erscheinen , ohne dass der Gegenstand wörtlich genannt wird . arbeiten mit einer erzählerischen Symbolfigur , um abstrakte Werte greifbar zu machen . Die verleiht Dingen menschliche Eigenschaften und stärkt die Ansprache des Publikums . setzt Erwartungen entgegen , oft humorvoll oder kritisch , und lädt zum Nachdenken ein . In der poetischen Rede finden sich oft auch Antithesen und Hyperbeln , die Kontraste verstärken oder Übertreibung erzeugen .

Versfüße bezeichnen in der Lyrik die Bausteine des . Ein Versmaß ergibt sich aus wiederholten , betonten Silbenfolgen , die rhythmisch als Füße bezeichnet werden . Das Versmaß bestimmt den Rhythmus des Gedichts , und das ordnet diese Füße dem Gesamtrhythmus zu . Häufige Füße sind der ( unbetont ? betont ) und der ( betont ? unbetont ) . Der Kreuzreim verbindet die erste Zeile mit der dritten , die zweite mit der vierten . Der Paarreim folgt dem Schema aa bb cc . Der umarmende Reim umhüllt eine Zeile : abba .
