Identify key landforms in context.

Last summer , I went on a trip that covered every type of landscape imaginable . We started our journey in a tropical , where it rained every single day , making the plants incredibly green . We followed a small through the trees until it reached a massive that dropped 50 meters into a pool of water .

After leaving the forest , we traveled to the to see the ocean . We stood on a high looking down at the waves crashing against the rocks . We were actually on a peninsula , so there was water on three sides of us . In the distance , we could see a small , private sitting alone in the middle of the blue .

The next week , the weather changed . We drove across a flat , grassy for hours until the land began to rise . We climbed up to a high plateau where the ground was flat but very high above sea level . From there , we looked down into a deep with red rock walls .

Finally , we went to the extremes . We visited a freezing cold that looked like a river made of ice . It was a huge contrast to our last stop : a hot , sandy desert . As we stood in the low between two dry mountains , we couldn't believe how much the Earth can change in just one trip !
