Una fracción con denominadores distintos puede sumarse convirtiéndolas a un común denominador.

Al multiplicar fracciones, se multiplican numeradores entre sí y denominadores entre sí, sin necesidad de común denominador.

Para restar fracciones con denominadores diferentes, se igualan los denominadores antes de restar.

La simplificación cambia el valor de la fracción.

Dividir fracciones equivale a dividir los numeradores entre los denominadores por separado.

Cuando el resultado se simplifica, se reduce dividiendo numerador y denominador por el máximo común divisor.

Al multiplicar fracciones con denominadores diferentes, se deben convertir primero a un denominador común.

Para sumar fracciones con denominadores diferentes, se multiplican directamente numeradores entre sí.

Si las fracciones tienen el mismo denominador, se restan las fracciones sin cambiar el denominador.
