Los dispositivos de almacenamiento son todos aquellos componentes electrónicos que permiten guardar o recuperar información de forma temporal o permanente . Estos dispositivos hacen posible la entrada y salida de información , ya que almacenan datos que pueden ser utilizados posteriormente por el usuario o por el sistema . Tiene como función conservar programas , documentos , imágenes , videos y cualquier otro tipo de archivo digital , para su posterior uso por el usuario . Tipos de dispositivos de almacenamiento : : Son aquellos que guardan información en , y se utilizan de manera continua , recibiendo un flujo constante de electricidad . : Son aquellos de uso eventual y almacenan la información en dispositivos externos cuando el usuario así lo disponga , para que pueda llevándolos consigo y recuperarlos donde y cuando quiera . : En estos se debe leer registro tras registro para poder acceder a la información , desde el comienzo hasta el punto deseado siendo más lentos . : La información se busca directamente en el lugar físico donde está almacenada , sin tener que empezar a leer desde el comienzo del soporte .
