El cesante debe estar inscrito en una agencia del Servicio Público de Empleo para acceder al FOSFEC.

Si una persona consigue empleo mientras recibe el beneficio, puede seguir recibiendo el subsidio sin necesidad de reportarlo.

Las Cajas de Compensación Familiar están obligadas a hacer seguimiento y acompañamiento a los cesantes durante la ruta de empleabilidad.

El beneficiario del FOSFEC debe demostrar acciones de búsqueda activa de empleo (postulaciones, entrevistas, talleres, etc.).

La ley permite que el beneficio se otorgue a personas que renuncian voluntariamente, sin cumplir requisitos adicionales.

Durante el periodo de protección, el FOSFEC cubre aportes a salud y pensión del cesante bajo los criterios establecidos.

Los gastos del personal, como conductores de la cajas se incluyen en los gastos del FOSFEC
