Un diptongo siempre requiere una vocal abierta (a, e, o) y una vocal cerrada (i, u).

Las vocales débiles i y u pueden formar diptongos con vocales fuertes a, e, o.

Un hiato se produce cuando hay dos vocales fuertes en sílabas distintas, como en palabras con separación silábica.

Las consonantes bilabiales se articulan con ambos labios, como /p/, /b/ y /m/.

Toda vocal puede formar díptongo con cualquier otra vocal.

El fonema /p/ es sonoro.

La tilde puede influir en la separación silábica al crear hiato, como en palabras con acento escrito.

La letra h siempre se cuenta como fonema consonántico audible.

Un triptongo nunca puede aparecer en palabras con tilde.

En español, /p/ es un fonema consonántico sordo y /b/ es sonoro.
