Leo has to over fifty countries , but he still feels like he seen nothing .

He has the jagged peaks of the Andes and has into the crystal - clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef . His passport is a chaotic mosaic of ink ; it has a record of a life lived in transit .

His mother often asks him , " Why can't you stay put ? You been away for three years ! "

Leo always gives the same answer : " I haven't found what I ? m looking for . "

, things have changed . He has started to feel a strange pull toward home . He has realized that while he has met hundreds of people , he hasn't kept in touch with his oldest friends . He has so much time looking at horizons that he has forgotten the view from his own porch .

Today , he has made a big decision . He has bought a one - way ticket back to his hometown . He hasn't anyone , but for the first time in a decade , he feels like he has arrived .
