Een badmintonwedstrijd wordt meestal tot 21 punten gespeeld en je moet met minstens 2 punten verschil winnen.

Een speler mag na elke slag de shuttle nog een keer aanraken voordat hij over het net gaat.

Er zijn geen verschillende slagen zoals de clear, smash en drop.

De shuttle mag de grond raken tijdens het spel.
