Ray Kurzweil , who has made predictions about artificial intelligence , believes that robots and computers will soon become extremely intelligent . According to him , machines may reach human ? level intelligence in about twenty ? five years . At that point , humans will probably use small devices can be implanted in the brain to store information and improve memory .
Kurzweil imagines future communication systems might allow people to share ideas instantly , almost like telepathy . He thinks many technologies appear in science ? fiction films will probably become real tools that help people live healthier and longer lives . However , he also says telepathic communication probably won ? t be perfect at first , because the technology will still be developing .
