Las ayudas en equitación son señales o estímulos que el caballo le transmite al jinete para comunicarle lo que desea que haga

Los dos tipos de ayudas que existen son naturales y artificiales

Las ayudas naturales incluyen: fusta, espuelas y látigo

Las ayudas básicas de la monta son las riendas, las piernas y el peso del cuerpo.

Solo la boca del caballo decide su dirección sin necesidad de otras ayudas.

Las piernas también ayudan a mantener el equilibrio y la dirección del caballo.

Las riendas no influyen en la dirección si el jinete no usa el peso del cuerpo.

La voz refuerza otras ayudas o da órdenes básicas (como parar o avanzar) cuando se está empezando o desde pie a tierra.
