On a warm summer afternoon , Lina sat beside the window of an old train , watching the countryside slide past . Her rested above her seat , stuffed with clothes , notebooks , and a small box of her grandmother insisted she carry for the trip .
This visit was more than travel ? it was a .
Lina had always been curious about the abandoned palace in the mountains . Ever since she saw its faded in a dusty library book , she couldn ? t stop thinking about it . She tried to imagine what life had been like inside those crumbling walls : grand halls , shadowy servants , and hidden secrets .
When the train stopped at the last village , Lina stepped off and began the long hike upward . Storm clouds rolled across the sky , and flashes in the sky lit the path like bursts of voltage through the dark air .
By evening she reached the gates . The place felt both beautiful and eerie . The old carvings were , yet the silence carried a strange , as if the palace remembered things it refused to forget .
Inside , Lina moved carefully , using the she ? d learned from years of studying history . She wanted to every corner without disturbing anything .
