In a traditional class the teacher only asks questions, ones that she usually already knows the answer too

The first questions requires students to research how to reduce paper waste, and also to examine their own school's use of paper, something that would not be found in Google!

Doing project work will take much more than just one class period. When planning this, you will need to include some of the stages in different lessons over several weeks.

Through team work, research, and discussion the students put their higher level critical thinking skills to use, but also find learning more enjoyable.
