El protocolo busca únicamente sancionar a los responsables de vulneración de derechos.

La JUNJI asume un rol de garante de derechos de los niños y niñas.

El maltrato infantil solo incluye daño físico.

Las agresiones entre niños y niñas se consideran maltrato infantil.

La negligencia ocurre cuando los cuidadores no satisfacen las necesidades básicas del niño o niña.

El principio de interés superior del niño implica que los adultos deben priorizar sus propias decisiones.

Las situaciones de vulneración pueden ocurrir en el contexto intrafamiliar, intrajardín u otros contextos.

El protocolo establece que se debe informar una situación de vulneración dentro de 2 horas desde que se toma conocimiento.

Es recomendable interrogar al niño o niña para obtener más detalles de la situación.

Se debe resguardar la identidad e intimidad del párvulo en todo momento.
