Perbedaan suhu terbesar antara bagian dalam dan luar mobil terjadi pada akhir pengamatan, yang menunjukkan akumulasi (penumpukkan) radiasi inframerah yang terperangkap.

Jika pada eksperimen botol, soda kue dan cuka menghasilkan gas CO2, maka dalam teks ini, kaca mobil berperan analog dengan gas CO2 tersebut dalam memerangkap panas.
