Liverpool gaming school day and life

by Ona Mikašauskienė
1

The canteen serves food all day and students can take breaks like in the working world.

2

The Studio in Liverpool is the UK's first gaming school for students aged 14 to 19.

3

There is no cinema or assembly; lessons begin without a gathering in the cinema.

4

There are many computer game companies near the school and students sometimes test games for them and can get paid.

5

There are only about 150 students at The Studio.

6

The adults helping are teachers from the school, not game designers.

7

Lunch is served only at 1 p.m. every day.

8

On Games Day, students work in teams to design, write and make a computer game with help from real game designers.

9

The day starts at 8:45 a.m. (before the official start time).

10

The school day runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
