El primer respondiente debe esperar instrucciones de un supervisor para cada paso, incluso en seguridad.

Se realiza el triage para priorizar la atención según la gravedad de las lesiones.

Se retira a todas las víctimas de la escena antes de evaluar la seguridad.

La escena debe limpiarse de inmediato para permitir el paso de vehículos.

La seguridad del personal y de las víctimas es la prioridad en la escena.

Se mantiene la comunicación con los servicios de emergencia y se solicita apoyo adicional.

Se realiza una evaluación primaria para identificar amenazas vitales y se aplica RCP si es necesario.

Se ignora la verificación de identidad del propietario antes de realizar órdenes médicas.

Se retira al animal de la escena para evitar riesgos sin estar estabilizado.

Se maneja el sangrado solo con presión, sin considerar monitorización de signos vitales.
