Qurban adalah ibadah menyembelih hewan ternak pada hari raya Idul adha dan hari tasyrik sebagai bentuk ketaatan dan pendekatan diri kepada Allah.

Hukum melaksanakan qurban adalah wajib.

Qurban dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Zulhijjah

Contoh hewan yang boleh dijadikan qurban adalah kerbau, unta, sapi, kambing atau domba.

Beragama Islam, baligh atau berakal, dan mampu secara ekonomi untuk membeli hewan qurban adalah rukun qurban.

Hewan harus sehat, cukup umur, tidak cacat berat seperti buta, pincang parah, atau sangat kurus adalah syarat hewan qurban.

Mengajarkan ketaatan total kepada Allah, keikhlasan berkorban, dan kepatuhan kepada perintah-Nya adalah hikmah kisah Nabi Ibrahim dan Idris dalam qurban.
