Temps era temps , un terrible atemoria els habitants d'un poblet de Catalunya anomenat Montblanc . El drac causava estralls en la població i els animals de pastura de la vila .

Per calmar l'ira del drac , els habitants van decidir que cada dia sacrificarien una , escollida per sorteig , i li oferirien com a senyal de bona .

Però un dia , a la filla del rei li va tocar ser el . Quan el drac l'anava a engolir , va aparèixer un formós per enfrontar - se a la bèstia . Era Sant , que li va clavar la seva llança , i de la sang del drac va sorgir un roser de vermelles .

El seu va ser un gest desinteressat i que va canviar la història del poble i va donar naixement a la nostra llegenda , ja que des d'aleshores , a Catalunya és costum una rosa a la persona .
