La primera etapa es la planeación, donde se leen el texto, se identifican ideas principales y se organiza la información a usar.

En la textualización se escribe la reseña en cuatro partes: identificación del texto, explicación del contenido, valoración crítica y síntesis o conclusión.

La planeación implica redactar el borrador de la reseña.

Una reseña crítica debe ser clara, ordenada y dirigida a un lector específico.

La valoración crítica se basa solo en datos objetivos sin opinión.

La reseña crítica tiene como propósito analizar y valorar una obra mediante una opinión argumentada.

La reseña crítica no necesita revisión final.

La segunda etapa de la reseña crítica es la planeación.

En la textualización se omite la síntesis o conclusión.

La tercera etapa es la revisión, en la que se corrige coherencia, claridad, ortografía y se verifica que las ideas estén bien organizadas.
