Administrar medicamentos por vía intravenosa durante la primera evaluación sin indicación clara.

Realizar evaluación primaria ABC (Aire, Vía Respiratoria, Circulación) para identificar signos de vida.

Iniciar RCP si no hay pulso y respiración, siguiendo protocolos veterinarios de compresión torácica y ventilación.

Se debe intentar la RCP sin comprobar pulso ni respiración previa.

Solo se debe usar oxígeno si el animal presenta dificultad para respirar, incluso si no hay equipo disponible.

Poner al animal de pie para evaluar signos vitales, si parece estable.

Si el animal parece tranquilo, no es necesario mantener seguridad personal antes de intervenir.

Priorizar la seguridad personal y del equipo antes de acercarse al animal.

Controlar hemorragias externas con presión directa y vendaje adecuado.

Mantener al animal en posición estable, inmovilizado y caliente mientras llega ayuda.
