Pada tahun kelima hijrah , Rasulullah dan kaum Muslim menulis sejarah perjanjian . Mereka berangkat menuju Makkah untuk menunaikan ibadah , namun tujuan itu bergeser menjadi antara dan kaum . Perjanjian ini menetapkan syarat - syarat damai selama sepuluh tahun , menjaga keselamatan orang - orang Muslim dan melindungi tempat suci . Pihak Quraisy berjanji menghormati hak - hak umat Islam yang datang , sementara Nabi Muhammad berjanji membatasi serangan dan menjaga kedamaian di daerah tersebut .
