Long ago , all the gods and goddesses lived together on Mount Olympus . One day , Zeus , the king of the gods , and of the gods , felt bored as one would from ruling for many , many years over the same lands . He decided to organize a great tournament to honor himself as he was the greatest god among all .

Zeus asked Hermes , of all the gods , to deliver invitations . Hermes quickly traveled across Mount Olympus to invite the strongest and most important gods . Since a tournament would not be fun to watch without powerful and valuable opponents .

The first invitation went to Hades , of the gods and the ruler of the Underworld . Hades believed he could win because he controlled the most dangerous creatures of the Underworld . Hearing his name was enough to put fear in his enemies hearts .

The second invitation went to Athena , and goddess . She believed she could win because she always had strategies . The sharp minded goddess always knew her enemies' next moves .

The third invitation went to Ares , and god of war . Ares was very confident . He believed he was the most skilled fighter the Mount Olympus had ever seen .

The fourth invitation went to Artemis , of the gods and a skilled hunter . She trusted her aim and instincts , never doubting that her arrow would always hit the mark and believed she was the best fit for the tournament .

Finally , Aphrodite received the last invitation . She was the and of all the goddesses . She believed she could win because she could charm all the gods with her allure and enchant them with her words .

Soon , all the gods arrived at Mount Olympus . Zeus prepared a grand arena . Many gods and goddesses came to watch . Everyone was excited to see who would win the tournament . And thus the great battle among the gods and goddesses of the Olympus began .
