El es un fenómeno de la pronunciación española . Sucede cuando dos vocales pertenecen a distintas y se pronuncian en sílabas separadas . En general , cuando aparecen dos , o una vocal fuerte junto con una vocal débil tónica , se forma un hiato y no un . La de la palabra también influye : si la vocal débil lleva tilde , favorece el hiato . Conocer la diferencia entre hiato y diptongo ayuda a la correcta separación silábica y escritura .
