El trolling es un comportamiento que ocurre frecuentemente en , especialmente en redes sociales , foros , videojuegos y chats en línea . Consiste en publicar comentarios , sarcásticos o fuera de tema con el objetivo de provocar reacciones emocionales en otras personas . Los suelen buscar , generar discusiones o crear conflictos dentro de las comunidades virtuales .

Muchas veces , este tipo de comportamiento se realiza mediante burlas , insultos , difusión de o mensajes provocadores que afectan la convivencia entre los usuarios . Aunque algunas personas consideran el como una simple broma , puede convertirse en una forma de cuando los son repetitivos o están dirigidos constantemente hacia una misma persona .

El trolling también puede deteriorar el ambiente de una en línea , ya que provoca discusiones innecesarias , malentendidos y sentimientos negativos entre los . En algunos casos , las víctimas pueden sentirse tristes , frustradas o incluso decidir abandonar las digitales debido al acoso recibido .
