La soldadura oxiacetilénica , conocida como , utiliza una llama producida por la mezcla de y para fundir bordes y unir piezas . En el corte OFC - A se emplea la misma combinación de gases , pero con una boquilla especial y un chorro de oxígeno para separar el material . Antes de empezar , hay que revisar normas de seguridad , mantener el área ventilada y verificar que no existan fugas con agua jabonosa . El manejo se realiza con equipo apagado y supervisión , ajustando los y abriendo las válvulas poco a poco .
