Wendekreiswüsten entstehen vor allem in der Zone rund um Grad nördlicher bzw . südlicher Breite .
Die - Zirkulation führt dort zur trockener Luft ( Antipassat ) . Durch das " Herunter Fallen " der Luft aus höheren Luftschichten wird die Luft am Boden ( Hochdruckgebiet ) .
Wie die Luft in einer erwärmt sich dadurch diese Luft ohne direkte Energiezufuhr ( ) . Durch diese Erwärmung wird die Wolkenbildung gehemmt wird und wenig fällt . Die warme , trockene Luft verhindert Ansammlung von Feuchtigkeit , während Verdunstung hoch bleibt .
