Konflik sosial adalah antara individu atau kelompok karena adanya perbedaan , pendapat , atau tujuan . Konflik dapat terjadi karena beberapa penyebab , seperti perbedaan kepentingan , perbedaan budaya , kesenjangan sosial , dan perubahan sosial yang terlalu cepat . Konflik sosial memiliki dampak negatif , seperti terjadinya dan terganggunya hubungan sosial . Namun , konflik juga dapat memberikan dampak positif , misalnya memperkuat dalam kelompok . Bentuk konflik sosial dapat berupa konflik antarindividu , konflik , dan konflik politik . Konflik sosial dapat diselesaikan dengan berbagai cara . Penyelesaian konflik dengan bantuan pihak ketiga sebagai penengah disebut , sedangkan jika pihak ketiga memberikan keputusan yang harus dipatuhi kedua belah pihak disebut . Ketika kedua pihak saling mengurangi tuntutan agar tercapai kesepakatan disebut . Sikap saling menghargai perbedaan untuk mencegah konflik disebut . Sebagai pelajar , kita dapat mencegah konflik dengan cara saling menghargai , menjaga komunikasi , dan menerapkan sikap kepada teman .
