La globalización ha llevado a que el Estado pierda parte de su autonomía, especialmente en temas económicos.

Las empresas multinacionales y los mercados internacionales influyen en las decisiones gubernamentales.

Nuevos retos para el Estado incluyen regular la economía global sin perder estabilidad.
