La Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social emite normas y lineamientos relacionadas con la capacitación (NOM).

Las empresas con más de 50 trabajadores deben integrar una Comisión Mixta de Capacitación, Adiestramiento y Productividad.

Las constancias de habilidades laborales pueden utilizarse para ascensos, promociones, cambios de puesto y mejorar el curriculo laboral.

La STPS puede realizar inspecciones laborales para verificar programas de capacitación y evidencias.

La STPS no participa en la supervisión de la capacitación laboral.

La STPS regula el cumplimiento de la Ley Federal del Trabajo en materia de capacitación.

La LFT no regula el adiestramiento de los trabajadores.

La capacitación es obligatoria para patrones y trabajadores según la LFT, específicamente los arts. 153-A al 153-X.

Después de concluir la capacitación, el trabajador debe recibir una constancia de habilidades laborales.

10

Las empresas no tienen que registrar instructores externos ante la STPS.
