, this story makes me sound a bit dramatic , but every word is true .

When I moved into a shared apartment last year , I thought I had found the perfect place . The guy seemed normal during the viewing . Friendly , tidy , respectful . he would turn out to be one of the strangest people I've ever lived with .

At first , there were only small issues . Dirty dishes . Loud phone calls . But one thing led to another , and suddenly we were arguing about whose turn it was to buy toilet paper .

, he had a collection of over fifty alarm clocks scattered around the apartment .

And : not a single one of them worked .

, was I confused when I discovered eight broken clocks in the kitchen alone .

, I probably should have noticed the warning signs earlier .

He wasn't a bad person , . He always paid rent on time and occasionally baked cookies for everyone .

Still , after six months , I moved out . , I was signing a new lease with strangers and promising myself I'd ask a lot more questions next time .

. I studied engineering because everyone told me it was practical and stable .

For the first few years , things were fine . Then I started helping the marketing team with presentations and client meetings . It felt more creative and , , more human .

Eventually I became the unofficial , , " translator " between technical experts and clients .

People kept asking for my help . Then they started inviting me to strategy meetings .

, I enjoyed those meetings more than my actual job .

So I switched careers .

My parents were shocked . Stable engineer quits to work in advertising ? !

But honestly , , the decision seems obvious now .

Marketing is part psychology , part storytelling , part problem - solving ? a strange hybrid , .

And once I stopped worrying about what everyone else expected , everything clicked . Sounds simple , ?
