TPACK ترکیبی از دانش فناوری، تدریس و محتوا است.

TPACK بر تعریف گسترده ای از دانش آموزی و آموزشی در مواجهه با فناوری تأکید دارد.

در SAMR، هر سطح بهبود یافته به صورت تصادفی و بدون نیاز به هدف‌گذاری آموزشی استفاده می‌شود.

TPACK مستقل از زمینه آموزشی مدرسه یا کلاس است و به بافت نیاز ندارد.

SAMR مدل چهار سطحی برای بهبود استفاده از فناوری در تدریس است.
