Forensic Investigation Report

Last Friday evening , Detective Harris ( arrive ) at the city museum after the security guard ( call ) the police . When she entered the exhibition hall , forensic experts had already collected fingerprints from the display case . The museum director explained that the priceless diamond ( disappear ) while the visitors were ( watch ) a science exhibition . Before anyone realized the jewel ( miss ) , one of the security guards had moved several objects , so he accidentally had ( contaminate ) part of the crime scene . Detective Harris learned that the main suspect ( work ) at the museum and would stay late after closing time to organize the collections . According to another employee , the suspect ( quit ) his job the following week because he had accepted an offer from another company . At first , the detectives ( believe ) the thief ( escape ) through the emergency exit , but they soon discovered that someone locked the door from the inside before the alarm ( sound ) .
