تُذاب المواد عند درجات حرارة تقارب 1400–1600 درجة مئوية لتكوِّن الزجاج المنصهر.

المادة الأساسية في الزجاج هي الرمل الطيني بدل الرمل السيليكي.

التشكيل يتم فقط بعد تبريد الزجاج إلى درجة حرارة الغرفة.

لا يتم استخدام إعادة التدوير ولا الكليت في صناعة الزجاج.

إعادة تدوير الزجاج المكسور (الكليت) داخل العملية لتوفير المواد الأساسية.

يتم تقليل الشوائب وتصفية الخليط قبل الصهر لضمان نقاء الزجاج.

الصهر يحدث عند درجات حرارة تقل عن 800 درجة مئوية.

لا تُستخدم أية مواد مضافة مثل كربونات الصوديوم أو الحجر الجيري أثناء إعداد الخليط.

يتم التشكيل بعد الصهر باستخدام قوالب أو تقنيات النفخ.

تُخلط الرمل السيليكي مع كربونات الصوديوم وحجر الجير لتكوين خليط الزجاج الأولي.
