At our plasterboard plant , every production batch is inspected before it leaves the factory . If a is detected , the product is isolated immediately and the quality team investigates the issue . Last month , a customer reported a problem with board thickness . When the complaint was received , several samples were tested in the laboratory . The technicians found that one measuring device was giving inaccurate results because it had not been correctly . Since then , the equipment has been calibrated , and new procedures have been introduced . The quality department has implemented several improvements to prevent similar issues in the future . At the moment , engineers are monitoring production data more closely and additional tests are being carried out every day . If the measurements fall outside the specified tolerance , production will be stopped immediately and a will be performed . In our company , if a occurs , corrective actions are implemented as soon as possible . If employees follow the procedures correctly , product quality improves and customer complaints decrease . Next week , the quality manager will present the latest results to senior management . If the current action plan is successful , will increase and fewer defects will be reported .
