En RVSM, los niveles válidos son FL290 a FL410 inclusive.

En el espacio NAT, la separación RVSM es de 2.000 ft.

Se requiere aprobación RVSM vigente para aeronave y operador.

La separación vertical mínima en RVSM es 1.000 ft.

Ante fallo del autopiloto en RVSM se debe notificar ATC y solicitar abandono RVSM.

Un ítem MEL activo que inhabilite la operación RVSM está permitido.

La separación vertical en RVSM puede ser de 2.000 ft fuera de RVSM (NAT/EUR/APAC).

La fraseología estándar ICAO para fallos RVSM es "UNABLE RVSM DUE EQUIPMENT. REQUEST ...".

La desviación lateral para emergencias nunca requiere coordinación ATC ni notificación.

Es posible reintegrar a RVSM sin autorización de ATC.

La entrada RVSM se verifica después de firmar el release (despacho).

Todo fallo de capacidad RVSM se registra en el flight log y se notifica a OCC, CAMO y Safety.
