Stay formal and academic: Use clear, formal language and avoid slang or overly casual expressions.

Organize logically: Structure your essay with an introduction, body paragraphs (each with one clear idea), and a conclusion.

State your opinion clearly: Even if you discuss both sides, make sure your personal viewpoint is obvious and consistent.

Don’t ignore one side: If the task asks you to discuss both views, failing to cover one side will lower your score.

Don’t repeat the question: Paraphrase the prompt in your introduction instead of copying it word-for-word.

Don’t write informally: Avoid contractions (e.g., don’t, can’t) and personal anecdotes that don’t fit an academic style.
