Pronouns and past tense blanks

In our daily conversations , pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition . When I tell a about last summer , I often mix I , you , he , and she with vivid actions . We use the past tense to describe completed events : I to the park , you softly , he called his friend , and decided to stay home . It can be tricky to keep agreement between subject and verb in past tense , but with practice , pronouns flow naturally and make narration smoother .
