The Predictions Challenge
One Friday afternoon , Emma and her friends were talking about the future . They decided to play a game called The Predictions Challenge . Each person had to make predictions using will and won't .
" I think my brother will late tonight because his flight is delayed , " Emma said . " I will somebody at the airport , and I think I won't have to wait too long . "
Tom smiled and made his prediction . " I think I will next week because I studied very hard . I also think our school team will on Saturday . "
Sophie looked worried . " I have a bad feeling . I think I will tomorrow if I don't leave home early . "
Then Jake laughed . " My prediction is worse . I think I will my phone one day because I always it ! "
The friends continued playing . Emma said , " I think I will to my cousin tonight because I want to tell her about my vacation plans . "
Tom added , " In the future , my parents will near the beach . They love the ocean . "
Sophie had a different prediction . " I think technology will change a lot . Maybe people won ? t a song anymore because everything will be online . "
Jake shared another prediction . " My sister will when she grows up . She already spends hours in the kitchen helping my mother . "
Later that evening , Emma went home and turned on the TV . A sports program was showing a marathon . The runners were ready to a . Emma watched carefully and thought , " I think that runner in the blue shirt will win . "
The next day , Sophie rushed to the station . She remembered her prediction and ran as fast as she could . Fortunately , she arrived just in time and didn ? t miss her train .
A week later , most of the predictions came true . Tom passed his exam , the school team won their game , and Emma successfully picked up her brother at the airport . The only prediction that didn ? t come true was Jake ? s . He was very careful , so he didn ? t break his phone .
" Maybe predictions aren ? t always correct , " Emma said .
" That ? s true , " Tom replied , " but they make life more interesting ! "
As they left the school building , Jake pushed the door open and smiled . " I predict we ? ll have another great week ! "
