Police released CCTV footage of an arson attack on a house in Yarraville , in Melbourne ? s inner west , which police believe was connected to a $20 million extortion attempt bikies . The attack happened shortly after 2 : 20am on November 26 last year in Stephen Street . CCTV footage shows a grey Toyota RAV4 outside the property . Two masked men got out of the car and walked towards the house . They poured an accelerant two cars parked in front of the property and also near the front door . The men then threw Molotov cocktails at the cars before quickly leaving the area . The two cars were destroyed by the fire , and the front of the suffered extensive damage . A woman and a young child were inside the house at the time , but nobody was physically injured . Taskforce Echo , which investigates crime involving outlaw motorcycle gangs , is investigating the case . Police said the arson attack happened about one month after an alleged extortion attempt at the same home . Three men went to the property and demanded that the 47 - year - old resident pay them $20 million by the end of the week . They threatened to burn down the house if he did not pay . The resident was slapped and punched in the face . Police said the three men were members of the Bandidos motorcycle gang . A 27 - year - old man from Kalkallo , a 23 - year - old man from and a 28 - year - old man from Craigieburn were charged over the extortion case and have recently been sentenced . Police have also arrested two men in connection with the later arson attack . A 23 - year - man from Thomastown and a 27 - year - old man from Mickleham were arrested in December but were later released . Detective Senior Ben Oakley said arson was extremely dangerous because fire can quickly spread and put innocent people ? s lives at risk .
