The Dancing Plague

In 1518 , something strange happened in the city of Strasbourg . A woman named Frau Troffea suddenly dancing in the street . By the time the authorities , several other people joined her . Within a few weeks , hundreds of people had dancing uncontrollably .

Some people believed that the dancers had poisonous food , while others thought that they had affected a supernatural force . Doctors different solutions , but nothing worked . By the end of the strange event , many people become extremely weak .

Even today , historians still don't know exactly why the Dancing Plague .
