DESCRIPCION

by Karen Medina
1

Robert Walton writes to his sister because he wants to share the details of his dangerous journey to the North Pole and tell her about his dream of discovering new places that no one has explored before.

2

Walton feels completely happy during his expedition because he has many close friends travelling with him and he never feels lonely or isolated from other people.

3

In his letter, Walton explains that he has always been interested in adventure and exploration, and that reaching the North Pole is one of the greatest goals of his life.

4

Walton decides to abandon his journey before reaching the Arctic because the weather is too cold and he believes the expedition is impossible to complete.

5

During the voyage, the crew sees a strange man travelling across the ice on a dogsled, which surprises everyone on the ship.

6

The man seen crossing the ice introduces himself immediately and spends several days talking with the sailors before disappearing into the snow

7

The rescued stranger refuses to speak with Walton and shows no interest in the expedition or the people on the ship

8

By the end of the letter, Walton becomes interested in the rescued man because he believes the stranger has an unusual story that may explain why he was travelling alone in such dangerous conditions.
