Learning English can be very hard for an student . I know this because I am an immigrant student . I came to Australia from Colombia . When I arrived , my English was not very good . I some words , but I could not speak English well . I could not understand people when they spoke fast . I also had with reading and writing . Sometimes I felt shy and afraid to speak . I was scared of making . I started learning English at Swinburne TAFE . At first , my classes were difficult . I did not understand all the words from my teacher . Sometimes I needed to ask questions many times . My were kind and patient . They helped me when I did not understand something . I also made with other students . We practised English together . I learned new words every day . I wrote the words in a notebook . I read short texts and listened to English . I tried to speak English at shops , on buses , and at work . It was not easy . Some days I felt tired and wanted to stop . But I knew that English was important for my future . I continued to study and . Slowly , my English became better . I could speak with more confidence . I could understand people more easily . I could also read and write better . Learning English me to be patient . It taught me to keep trying . Now I feel proud of my progress . I know that learning a new language takes time . Immigrant students can face many problems , but they can succeed with hard work , practice , and .
