De ingebouwde grafische kern in de Intel Haswell - processors en AMD A - processors is prima voor alle gebruikelijke computertaken inclusief het afspelen van HD - video's . Ook met minder veeleisende spellen kom je een eind . AMD's grafische kern is krachtiger dan Intels ingebouwde .

Als je niet zeker weet of je een losse grafische kaart nodig hebt , kun je altijd proberen of de ingebouwde chip voldoet en eventueel later nog een krachtigere grafische aanschaffen . Houd dan wel rekening met de bij de keuze voor een voeding . Speel je graag spellen , dan kun je eigenlijk niet zonder een goede kaart .

De keuze in grafische kaarten is enorm en de ontwikkelingen gaan razendsnel . Probeer daarom altijd de afweging te maken of de nieuwste kaart in vergelijking met de prijs van een oudere het waard is . Soms zit er maar een marginaal verschil in prestatie , maar is de nieuwe kaart al snel dubbel zo duur !

Houd ook rekening met eventuele uitbreidingen . Niet alle zijn geschikt voor SLI of CrossFire , waarmee meerdere grafische kaarten te combineren zijn zodat de kracht gebundeld wordt . Dit is slechts voor een heel kleine groep interessant , dus waarschijnlijk heb je aan één grafische kaart genoeg . Voor de meeste gamers zal een topmodel als de NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 of AMD Radeon HD 7970 meer dan genoeg zijn . Gebruik je meerdere op een zeer hoge resolutie , dan zijn de NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 of een NVIDIA GeForce Titan bijvoorbeeld mooie gamekaarten .

Speel je wel graag een spel , maar hoeft dat niet per se met de hoogste kwaliteit , dan is een NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost of AMD Radeon HD 7790 een prima keuze .
