There are three large groups with similar plastic characteristics : realism , abstraction and figuration .
We say that an artistic work is when it reflects the appearance of things .
We can distinguish several of relationship with visual reality , known as degree of . We differentiate between realism ( incorporates a degree of ) and scientific or realism accurately reflects each part of a figure .
The style encompasses plastic expressions that do not refer to reality . It does not resemble anything that in reality . There are two trends :

The style does not take into account the classic , the colors of reality but it does maintain a resemblance to .
Figurative style includes artistic tendencies :
