We find out where Elizer lives and what is normal in his family's situation Elizer and his father are forced to march to another concentration camp because the Russian army are approaching Auzchwitz. Many people die, including Elizer's father. The camp where Elizer is a prisoner is taken over by the resistance and liberated by the American army.
